Description
The main purpose of this book is to create a plain-language, hands-on approach to how to understand and apply the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, (ICF). The book emphasises the ICF framework for health as a tool for clinical work, communication among service providers and with families, as well as for service planning, education and research. The information is presented in accessible short chapters, so that each can be used as a resource on its own. The editors illustrate the many applications of the ICF that are being developed for direct clinical application, for health services research and for inter-professional education.
